Pastor: Pastor Timothy J. Ehlers
Pastor Ehlers is a thirty year veteran of the pastoral ministry. He is the father of six children and has been married to his wife, Tama, for over twenty-nine years. He is a second generation pastor and has served both large and small congregations in Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan and Connecticut. Our pastor is approachable, committed to his congregation and committed to faithfulness to the Holy Scriptures.
Education: Pastor Ehlers began studies in preparation for the pastoral ministry already at the high school level . In addition to traditional high school courses Pastor Ehlers enrolled in Bible overview courses and foreign language courses at Michigan Lutheran Seminary (Saginaw, MI). His college years were spent in the Pastoral Studies program at Northwestern College. There, in addition to general education courses, he enrolled in courses dealing with the biblical Greek and biblical Hebrew languages. His post graduate work was done at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary where he continued his studies in the original biblical languages as well as in Homiletics, Hermeneutics, Isogogics, Church History, Dogmatics, Symbolics and Pastoral Theology. He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern College (Watertown WI) and a Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Thiensville, WI). He is a 1985 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and periodically returns to its campus for continuing education course work.
Family: The Lord blessed our pastor and his wife, Tama, with six children. Four of them are married. One is currently attending UConn. Another is currently attending Seminary. Pastor met his wife, Tama, while she was attending college at the University of Wisconsin. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
